Zone Climate Services Acquires Smart Care Equipment Solutions

Combined company's services now in all 50 states, with more than 1,100 technicians

ALSIP, Ill. — Zone Climate Services has acquired Smart Care Equipment Solutions, a national service provider of commercial food equipment services.

Zone Climate Services, Alsip, Ill., a portfolio company of Chicago-based Wind Point Partners, provides commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC services to convenience stores, grocery stores and foodservice warehouse customers.

The combination of the two companies results in operations in all 50 states with more than 1,100 technicians.

Zone CEO Henry Lees-Buckley will become the new CEO of the combined entity.

Bill Emory, current CEO of St. Paul, Minn.-based Smart Care, has been named chairman of Smart Care and will provide strategic oversight to the business while reporting to the board of directors.

Gyner Ozgul has been named president and chief operating officer of Smart Care and will report to Lees-Buckley.

The company will continue to have corporate offices in St. Paul and Alsip.
