bp pulse opened its latest electric vehicle (EV) charging hub this week near Salt Lake City International Airport. This is the first bp pulse site in Utah—there are 87 total bp pulse sites across the United States, the Houston-based company told CSP Wednesday.

The newest site is at 15 2400 W, Salt Lake City. It features 24 ultra-fast EV charging bays with 400-kilowatt chargers and a mix of combined charging system and North American Charging Standard connectors, bp said.

The opening is part of bp’s plan to build EV charging hubs near airports in collaboration with car rental company Hertz. Similar hubs have already opened at Hertz properties near Los Angeles International Airport, San Francisco International Airport, Boston Logan International Airport, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and William P. Hobby Airport in Houston.

bp pulse is building its network across sites in bp’s retail network, including bp, Amoco, ampm, Thorntons and TravelCenters of America locations

The United States is one of four markets for bp pulse globally.

  • bp is No. 5 on CSP’s 2026 Top 40 update to the 2025 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by store count. Watch for the full 2026 Top 202 ranking in June.

bp pulse also partnered with EV charging and roaming platform Presto, the companies announced Tuesday.

Through the collaboration, EV drivers using the Presto platform will gain streamlined access to bp pulse’s growing network of direct current (DC) fast chargers. Drivers can locate bp pulse sites in the Presto app, view real-time charger availability and initiate charging sessions, the companies said.

“Reliable, fast charging is essential for commercial drivers and fleets who depend on predictable uptime,” said Sujay Sharma, CEO of bp pulse Americas. “By integrating bp pulse's growing U.S. ultra-fast charging network with Presto's platform, we're helping to make it easier for EV drivers to find and access charging where and when they need it—supporting efficiency today as electrification continues to scale.”

Houston-based bp had 1,708 U.S. convenience stores as of Jan. 1.
