Nielsen Names Breakthrough Innovation Winners for 2019

List recognizes products that stand out in the consumer packaged goods space

NEW YORK — Red Bull Summer Edition, RXbar and White Claw Hard Seltzer were among the brands Nielsen named as its Top 25 Breakthrough Innovation winners for 2019.

The New York-based global measurement and data analytics company has been conducting the awards for nearly a decade to recognize innovation and global success within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) space.

The process involved reviewing nearly 45,000 CPG product launches that were introduced to the market in 2017.

Products on the list were required to reflect strong and distinct qualities, such as mass potential, longevity, brand incrementality, category distinction and appeal toward a specific consumer target. This year’s analysis was run by BASES, the product innovation discipline within Nielsen.

  • Harry’s, Harry’s Inc.
  • Herbal Essences, bio:renew, Procter & Gamble
  • Just Crack an Egg, The Kraft Heinz Co.
  • Just for Men Control GX, Combe Inc.
  • Kinder Joy, Ferrero
  • Lamb Weston Grown in Idaho
