Tedeschi, WILCOHESS, Flash Foods Deploying Payment Terminals

Pinnacle clients rolling out Ingenico devices in all retail locations
ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Pinnacle Corp. said that it has completed full integration between the Pinnacle Palm POS and Ingenico's line of payment terminals, and that several of Pinnacle's clients are in the process of rolling out of these devices in all retail locations. Several Pinnacle clients are in the process of acquiring and rolling out these terminals, including Tedeschi Food Shops, WILCOHESS and Flash Foods.

The Pinnacle Palm POS integration efforts to Ingenico's i6000 series payment terminals now provide:
Electronic Signature Capture: No more printing, storing [image-nocss] and retrieving paper receipts, and faster for the consumer. Business Intelligence Integration: Adds the ability to recreate a ticket with electronic signature at the store or the home office using Pinnacle's EPM Business Intelligence solution. No more searching for receipts when inquiries or disputes arise. Contactless Payment: RFID contactless payment reader makes transactions faster and safer for consumers carrying these new payment cards. Scrolling Receipt: Allows customers to see items on the payment terminal as they are rung by the cashier, augments or removes the need for a pole display. Threshold Signature Amount: Define minimum limits for which no signature is required, faster for the consumer and saves paper. Graphics Support: A way to increase awareness to promotions, loyalty programs or to convey messages to the consumer. In addition to these benefits the Ingenico terminals meet all PED (PIN Entry Device) requirements surrounding PCI Compliance, as mandated by Visa and the PCI SSC (Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council), and offer advanced 3DES encryption; a powerful combination when combined with Pinnacle's fully PCI Compliant Palm POS.

"At WILCOHESS we believe that our implementation of the Ingenico platform will not only deliver a better customer experience, but significantly impact store costs." said Ed Freels, CIO. "Signature capture allows us to no longer print the store receipt copy of the credit transaction. If we don't print it, we don't have to ship it. If we don't have to ship it, we don't have to store it. We save in all those cost areas. Additionally, Pinnacle's EPM-30 will allows us to replicate any store credit receipt with signature at the home office, thus reducing charge-backs and time spent searching through thousands of other receipts."

"Palm's interface to the Ingenico i6000 series terminals offers so many benefits," said Denise Lewis, Palm POS product manager at Pinnacle. "For retailers who would like to reduce their hardware footprint and associated costs, these terminals can replace the customer pole display on the POS. Then there are the obvious paper cost savings for retailers who implement electronic signature capture. And there is also the 'green' appeal-consumers are thinking more about conservation and consciously choosing to do business with "green" companies. Particularly in the petroleum industry it is difficult to be seen by the public as an environmentally friendly company but by implementing paperless credit transactions retailers have a visible, tangible way to promote that their organization is doing its part to conserve and protect our environment. For so many reasons the Ingenico i6000 terminals are a great solution for the many retailers who will be replacing older non-PED compliant devices before the July 2010 deadline."

"Flash Foods is excited about the benefits associated with the implementation of the Ingenico platform. The PCI compliant payment terminals fully integrate to our PCI Compliant Palm POS, allowing Flash Foods to provide a better customer experience with electronic signature capture, scrolling receipts, and threshold signature amounts while reducing our cost and ensuring cardholder data security. We are also able to utilize the terminals to push out special promotions and information about "Rewards in a Flash", our loyalty program" said Jenny Bullard, CIO.
