Ferrero USA Hires VP of Trade Marketing, Category Management

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Ferrero USA Inc., part of the Ferrero Group, has hired Michael Zacharias as vice president of trade marketing and category management for the United States.

Zacharias, who previously worked with Anheuser-Busch, will lead the trade marketing, category management and shopper marketing for Ferrero’s portfolio of brands, including Nutella, Kinder, Tic Tac, Ferrero Rocher, Crunch, Baby Ruth and Butterfinger. He will report to James Klein, Ferrero chief customer officer, and he will be based in Parsippany, N.J.

At Anheuser-Busch, Zacharias last held the position of vice president of sales for the beer company’s northeast region. He was responsible for the full profit and loss center of the northwest business unit, including strategic planning, human resources, sales and marketing, business development and customer satisfaction.

“Michael’s deep experience in the food and beverage industry, his extensive market management and his strategic planning experience expertise will be valuable assets to Ferrero and help drive the continued growth of our brand portfolio,” Klein said.

Ferrero is the third largest confectionery in the world. It entered the U.S. market in 1969 with Tic Tac mints.
