PLANO, Texas — Ruffles, a Frito-Lay brand and the Official Chip of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), is launching two new Ridge Twist potato snack flavors: Double Cheddar and Smoky BBQ. The brand partnered with A’ja Wilson, the Chip Deal’s first female athlete.

Ruffles Ridge Twists Double Cheddar includes a buttery flavor, while Ruffles Ridge Twists Smoky BBQ taps into Wilson’s South Carolinian roots and features the classic barbeque flavor.

The new product from Frito-Lay, Plano, Texas, will be available in stores nationwide in the coming weeks and is currently available on snacks.com in 5.5-ounce bags for $5.59 and 1.75-ounce bags for $2.29.

Wilson is a four-time WNBA All-Star, 2020 Kia WNBA Most Valuable Player, 2018 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year and Olympic gold medalist.

“I grew up eating Ruffles so it's a dream come true to join the family of Chip Deal athletes and have my own signature flavor that's inspired by my Southern roots,” said Wilson. “What's even better is Ruffles Ridge Twists Smoky BBQ isn't your average potato snack. It's the first to take the shape of a twist. And this new flavor is just the beginning! Ruffles and I have a lot of exciting things coming and I can't wait to keep this momentum going.”

Plano, Texas-based Frito-Lay North America Brands is a division of PepsiCo., Purchase, N.Y., which also makes brands including bubly, Gatorade, Pepsi, Lipton, Mtn Dew, Propel, Quaker and more.
