NEW YORK — Rip Van revealed that two Rip Van Wafel flavors, Dutch Caramel Vanilla and Snickerdoodle, will be carried at 500 Cumberland Farms stores across eight states.

“We are thrilled to be part of the Cumberland Farms family, bringing healthy, convenient, low-sugar and delicious snacking to this venerated and highly successful retailer,” said Jim Low, president of Rip Van.” Working with the great people of Cumberland Farms has been a pleasure and we look forward to our ongoing partnership as we continue to broaden and expand our aggressive retail distribution strategy.”

Cumberland Farms, part of EG America, held a coffee bar promotion that offered customers a free cup of coffee with a Rip Van Wafel purchase through Feb. 22. Now, the snack is available on shelves for purchase.

Rip Van began in 2012 when founders Rip Pruisken and Marco De Leon launched the healthy snack brand out of their college dorm room. The company's first product was Rip Van Wafels and has since launched Rip Van Wafers. The company expects to add more product lines this year. Rip Van is sold at Whole Foods, Albertsons, Costco, Sprouts, Meijer, Starbucks and other retailers nationwide.
