bp has agreed that Diebold Nixdorf will serve as its preferred global partner for operational services and retail technology. The strengthened partnership will support bp’s convenience and forecourt transformation. The alignment will also help improve business availability and modernization for bp’s global retail site estate, driving a consistent consumer experience, the company said.
Both companies agreed to plan a modernization and transformation program that will target advanced operational service efficiency and resilience by leveraging technology at bp’s mobility and convenience sites.

Chicago-based bp owns convenience-store brands ampm and Thorntons. In May, it completed its acquisition of TravelCenters of America, Westlake, Ohio.
