Collupy Joins W. Capra Consulting Group

Former Pantry IT VP to serve as executive consultant for tech implementation firm

CHICAGO -- W. Capra Consulting Group, a leading retail technology, payments, security and strategic implementation firm, has announced that Ed Collupy is joining the team as an executive consultant.

Collupy joins W. Capra from The Pantry Inc., the largest independently operated convenience store chain in the southeastern United States prior to its merger with Alimentation Couche-Tard. At The Pantry, he served as vice president on the IT leadership team, where most recently he directed and supported all of The Pantry retail systems for store operations, merchandising, and the fuel teams.

During his career at The Pantry, Collupy led chain’s technology plans through its rapid growth from 400 stores to more than 1,500 stores. Under his leadership they implemented several successful strategic project initiatives including point-of-sale (POS), backoffice reporting and accounting, analytics, workforce management and fuel pricing systems.

Collupy has served as chairman of the board of advisors of Connexus (formerly PCATS) and continues to be a member of its board of directors. He has also been a member of VeriFone’s Petroleum Advisory Council, Retalix’s executive advisory board, and in advisory roles on the NACS Technology Council.
