Firm's pay-at-pump integration available to CITGO marketers

ATLANTA -- Fuelman, a division of FleetCor Technologies, and CITGO Petroleum Corp., have announced the availability of Fuelman card acceptance, both in-store and at the fuel island, via the CITGO card processing network.

Petroleum marketers already using the VeriFone Ruby system at CITGO-branded sites to accept the Fuelman card can now obtain Ruby application version 5.07.02 to activate Fuelman acceptance at the pumpsan added convenience for the drivers of more than one million vehicles that carry Fuelman-branded fleet fueling cards. Fuelman has a help [image-nocss] desk staffed to help retailers with this conversion.

CITGO outlets that elect to participate in the Fuelman program now have the option to accept the card both in-store and at the pumps. Once the new systems have been rolled out to participating petroleum marketers, Fuelman card carriers on a tight schedule will be able to fill up quickly at the pump and get back out on the road.

The acceptance of Fuelman cards through CITGO's card processing network demonstrates our commitment to increasing CITGO marketer volume from the valuable commercial fleet fueling segment, while contributing to simpler, more efficient payment card operations at the retail level, said Alan Flagg, CITGO's general manager of light oil marketing.

Ken Greenway, senior vice president and general manager for Fuelman, said, Integrated technology contributes to greater efficiency for our customers as well as for our card-accepting partners. Many CITGO retailers already accept Fuelman fleet cards, and we anticipate many more will join the 30,000 locations that make up the current Fuelman network.
