H-E-B Products Give Gas

Grocer offers free fuel offered with branded purchases

SAN ANTONIO -- H.E. Butt Grocery Co. (H-E-B) has rolled out a new new Fuel Bucks reward program, which began on Friday, July 7. Customers will receive $5 in H-E-B Fuel Bucks for every $25 purchase made in a single trip at H-E-B of select H-E-B and Central Market-branded products.

The Fuel Bucks can then be redeemed immediately at any H-E-B gas station for free gasoline. Purchases made at Central Market stores are not eligible for Fuel Bucks.

Consumers can pick up a shopping list with the participating products at H-E-B near the [image-nocss] in-store sales rack. Signage and specially tagged products will also help to direct customers.

As an added bonus, customers redeeming their Fuel Bucks will receive a coupon good for even more savings on H-E-B branded products.

Based in San Antonio, H-E-B serves millions of customers in more than 150 communities throughout Texas and Mexico.

H-E-B spokesperson Dya Campos told the San Antonio Express-News that the retailer hasn't put an ending date on the promotion, but it's expected to last all summer. She said this is the first time in recent history that the retailer has had a gas promotion.

We want to reward customers for shopping and buying H-E-B-branded products, Campos said. With gas prices being so high, this is a really good way to reward shoppers and give them an opportunity to save on gas.
