Handee Marts, McLane Extend Distribution Services Deal

Agreement goes through at least 2012

GIBSONIA, Pa. -- Handee Marts Inc. has reached an agreement with McLane Co. Inc. for McLane to continue serving as the retailer's primary wholesale-distributor through at least 2012.

Gibsonia, Pa.-based Handee Marts was founded in 1969 and has progressively expanded its store base to 63 stores.

Handee Marts holds exclusive rights to operate 7-Eleven stores in 20 counties in western Pennsylvania, 14 counties in northeastern Ohio, one county in Maryland and two counties in West Virginia.

McLane provides distribution services throughout the United States, delivering food and nonfood products to more than 50,000 customer locations, including the convenience store, drug store, mass merchandise, quick service restaurant and movie theater industries. Based in Temple, Texas, the company operates 19 grocery distribution divisions and 18 foodservice distribution centers as well as an industry specific software company. McLane is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc.
