Hess to Install Blackhawk's Gift Card Mall

Hess gift cards will also be available through Blackhawk's network of retailers

NEW YORK & PLEASANTON, Calif. -- Look to see a gift-card mall and prepaid displays at Hess Express convenience stores in the coming months, as the integrated energy company partners with Blackhawk Network to host its "Gift Card Mall" and "Prepaid Center" programs.

Blackhawk Network, a provider of prepaid and financial-payments products for consumers and businesses, said its gift-card program offers consumers a variety of prepaid cards from some of the best brands, including entertainment, fashion, dining, home-improvement and digital content prepaid cards. Its prepaid program features "PayPower Visa" prepaid debit cards, "REloadit Packs" and telecom products.

The companies said Hess customers are now able to purchase prepaid cards from a selection of leading brands, including Lowe's, Sears, JCPenney, Applebee's and Outback in more than 800 Hess locations throughout the East Coast. The prepaid program will feature products from Verizon, Tracfone and T-Mobile.

"Our prepaid cards and telecom products are perfect for these locations," Talbott Roche, president, Blackhawk Network, said. "This new partnership provides an important avenue to reach consumers with our innovative products that offer convenience and added value. This is what consumers look for in Hess locations."

In addition to offering the gift-card program in the stores, Hess-branded gift cards will also be available throughout Blackhawk's network of retailers located near Hess locations.
