ALPHARETTA, Ga. --BlueCube Software Inc., a provider of backoffice and operations management systems for the convenience store industry, has secured the first Conformance Validation Certificate offered by PCATS (Petroleum Convenience Alliance for Technology Standards).
The certification validates the BlueCube Enterprise solution for petroleum retail as fully conforming with specific use instances for the PCATS-NAXML POS (point-of-sale) Back Office standards. These standards have been designed to facilitate integration and two-way communications between [image-nocss] POS and backoffice systems.
John Hervey, executive director of PCATS said, The PCATS-NAXML conformance specification is a win-win protocol for convenience and petroleum retailers and solution providers. The program provides confidence for both parties that their investments in XML-based applications and interfaces will meet long-term interoperability objectives. We are pleased to see BlueCube Software take a leadership role in this technology by actively supporting and validating the conformation process and the PCATS-NAXML specification.
Kevin Saum, vice president and general manager of petroleum c-stores for BlueCube Software, said, With the broad scope of technology solutions available to retailers today, BlueCube Software appreciates and supports the PCATS initiative.
Certification comes on behalf of the PCATS program called PCTP (PCATS Conformance Testing Program), which has been developed and licensed from NRF-ARTS, a technology standards consortium working in the wider retail space. ARTS standards have been selected by Microsoft as a guideline for defining logo program standards for its .NET Connected for Smarter Retailing program.
