PDI's UC2008 Marks Company Milestones

Achieves "Doing Business Electronically" goal, 25th anniversary

TEMPLE, Texas -- Professional Datasolutions Inc. (PDI) acknowledged two milestones at its annual users conference, UC2008. "First, we're delighted with the completion of PDI/Enterprise. We've had store-to-ledger-to-supplier implementations during 2008. Our vision of Doing Business Electronically is now our customer's reality," said Greg Gilkerson, PDI's president. "Second, we're honored to have served this industry for 25 years. We started small and worked hard. Today we're a subsidiary of the best parent company in the business, McLane Co., and serve the most progressive c-store chains out [image-nocss] there. It's a real privilege."

Held at the Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio, Texas, September 6-10, UC2008 attracted approximately 300 retailer attendees representing 109 companies who enjoyed five days of advanced training, networking with colleagues and informative group sessions.

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, PDI featured college football All-American and former U.S. Representative J.C. Watts (Okla.) as the keynote speaker. "In addition to the intensive hours of technical training, our customers always enjoy inspirational keynote speakers, and there is no better story of accomplishment and service to others than J.C. Watts. He's a true American success story," said Bruce Bates, PDI's vice president of sales.

Sue Hampton of Stripes Inc., who was informally honored by PDIfor attending her 15th consecutive PDI Users Conference, observed that "the early conferences were in one room." Today's conference occupies an entire hotel with 28 separate classes. "PDI has come so far," said Hampton.
