Tesoro, DTN Expand Relationship

Oil company to send invoices, documents, posted rack prices, over the DataConnect network

SAN ANTONIO -- Tesoro Corp. and DTN have forged a three-year agreement for expanded data communication services via DTN DataConnect, an information pipeline for refiners and wholesalers. As part of Tesoro's ongoing commitment to customer service, they will send invoices and other business information, along with daily posted rack prices, to DTN for transmission.

DTN provides data integration services for branded and unbranded Tesoro customers. Tesoro branded and unbranded marketers receiving translated electronic messages from DTN have a time-saving, [image-nocss] single source of data that has been formatted to work with their backoffice accounting software.

Omaha, Neb.-based DTN is a major business-to-business provider of real-time information services across multiple vertical markets including agriculture, energy, commodity trading and other weather-sensitive industries. The company delivers on-demand market information, commodity cash prices, industry news, analysis and location-specific weather to more than 120,000 subscribers through its four brandsDTN Ag, DTN Energy, DTN Market Access and DTN Meteorlogix.

San Antonio-based independent petroleum refiner-marketer Tesoro operates six refineries in the western United States with a combined capacity of nearly 560,000 barrels per day. Tesoro's retail-marketing system includes approximately 500 branded retail stations, of which more than 200 are company-operated under the Tesoro and Mirastar brands.
