Center for Tobacco Products Seeks Committee Member

SILVER SPRING, Md. —The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Tobacco Products (CTP) is requesting nominations for individuals to serve on one of its committees.

The Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee (TPSAC) advises the CTP on its responsibilities related to the regulation of tobacco products. It reviews and evaluates safety, dependence and health issues related to tobacco products and provides advice and recommendations to the FDA commissioner.

Nominees may be self-nominated or nominated by an organization on the FDA’s website. The CTP will give nominations received before Nov. 8 first consideration, it said.
