LAS VEGAS — While Tobacco Plus Expo (TPE) is still set to take place in May in Las Vegas, a series of virtual educational sessions will be released before the event, which supports the tobacco, vapor and alternative industries.

Tobacco Media Group pushed the show from January to May due to the COVID-19 pandemic; however, because the show is usually strategically timed at the beginning of the year, the group decided to offer virtual educational sessions early.

“By moving the educational sessions to [the first quarter of 2021], we’re still able to help the industry start the year strong, armed with information to grow their businesses,” Ben Stimpson, managing director of Tobacco Media Group, said. “And we’re optimizing everyone’s time spent at TPE 2021 in May by giving people more time on the show floor to buy, sell and network in person, which is really how business is best conducted.”

The sessions will be led by industry experts and will be a valuable resource of the TPE show, offering insight and information about market trends, best practices and the legislative landscape, according to Tobacco Media Group, owned by Kretek International, Moorpark, Calif. To help with these series, the group is partnering with associations including the National Association of Tobacco Outlets (NATO), the Cigar Association of America (CAA), the CBD & Cannabinoid Industry Association (CBDIA) and The Brightfield Group.

The show will be held May 12 to 14 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. More details will be released on the virtual educational sessions taking place in early 2021, Tobacco Media Group said. For more information on the expo, visit the TPE website
