Based in Grants Pass., Ore., drive-thru coffee chain Dutch Bros. Coffee began in 1992 as a pushcart near railroad tracks selling espresso and has grown to 12 states. Classics include the Kicker, an Irish creme breve, which is half and half and Irish cream syrup; the Annihilator, half and half and chocolate macadamia nut syrup; and Cocomo, a blend of coconut syrup, chocolate milk and bold espresso topped with whipped cream.
There also are cold brews, an Americano, shakes, smoothies, lemonades, teas, baked goods and more.
In May 2022, Dutch Bros launched a new drink to celebrate summer, the High Dive Rebel with Tropical Fruit, at all of its more than 550 locations. This energy drink is infused with peach, pomegranate and tropical fruit—a blend of passion fruit, guava, orange and pineapple.
For those who don’t want caffeine, there’s the High Dive Lemonade. Both are available iced or blended.
Give-back efforts include Dutch Luv Day, where in February, $1 from every drink sold goes to local organizations fighting food insecurity; and Drink One for Dane Day, held in honor of co-founder Dane Boersma to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association to find a cause and cure for ALS.
