Kwik Trip’s coffee sales are inching toward pre-pandemic levels as of June 2022, and the La Crosse, Wis.-based c-store chain attributes this to ongoing double-digit growth in breakfast sandwich sales.

The Karuba Cafe is where customers can customize their drinks, with Karuba Gold machines crafting lattes, mochas, Americanos, hot chocolates and teas. Kwik Trip switches out limited-edition Karuba Gold flavors every three to four months, usually rolling with the seasons, and lets social media followers know when it releases a new flavor. Have an idea for a flavor? Kwik Trip is all ears and welcomes suggestions. Two recent LTOs, Mudslide Brownie in the winter and Southern Pecan in warmer months, have done quite well.

Seeking drip coffee? It’s available in House, Dark Roast, Columbian, Hazelnut, Decaf and an LTO flavor that rotates. Seasonal flavors have included Toasted Marshmallow, Raspberry Lava Cake and Pumpkin Spice.

Hot-water dispensers are also available for the varieties of tea and powdered cappuccino offered in stores.

Customer comment: “They have the best coffee and bakery.”
