Some Loop Neighborhood convenience stores have unusual employees. Take one San Francisco location, where Sally the Salad Robot can make 50 different entree-sized salads. The salads range from 12 to 14 ounces. They can come premade or customized with up to 22 ingredients. And retailers such as Loop that carry Sally can choose from about 115 available ingredients so that each location can tailor its selection. Sally can also whip up quinoa grain bowls, breakfast cereal, yogurt bowls and snacks such as hummus and pita chips.

Loop’s robot population isn’t limited to Sally. Another location sports a cone-shaped robot that patrols its forecourt, scanning license plates and recording activity around the parking lot.
