Mega-convenience-store retailer Wally’s has teamed with Urban Chestnut Brewing Co., St. Louis, on a new light lager.

It’s “a crisp, clean beer at just 95 calories, 3.7 carbs that doesn’t forget to pack all the flavor you’d expect from Urban Chestnut,” Pontiac, Illinois-based Wally’s said in a Facebook post.

The beer will be sold at the two Wally’s locations, in Fenton, Missouri, beginning June 27, and, starting June 30, Pontiac, Illinois. It comes in a 6-pack or case.

The beer also is available at the Urban Chestnut Grove Bierhall retail store starting June 27.

The first Wally’s, which opened in September 2020, is a 30,000-square-foot store on 20 acres. It was built on an Illinois cornfield between Chicago and St. Louis on Interstate 55. It has 76 fueling positions.

On its website, Urban Chestnut Brewing Co. said, “We like to call our unique brewing philosophy Beer Divergency—a ‘new world meets old world’ brewing approach wherein UCBC provides the beer drinker a divergent path of exploration into the worlds of: modern, American craft beers (our Revolution Series), the traditions of classic European brewing (our Reverence Series), and small batches of Bavarian brewed/imported biers (our Hallertauer Series).”

‍In addition, the brewer’s efforts “span from the sustainability methods we employ during our brewing process to a concerted emphasis in aiding local not-for-profit organizations to reach their fund-raising goals,” Urban Chestnut said.
