Are All-You-Can-Eat Fries in McDonald's Future?

Offer coming to new franchise location in Missouri

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- A McDonald’s franchisee bringing the brand’s build-your-own-burger format to the Missouri area is promising at least one added feature not yet seen on the menu: all-you-can-eat french fries.

The endless-fries offer plays into owner Chris Habiger’s strategy to offer a more casual-dining experience to this new McDonald’s location in St. Joseph, Mo., reports the St. Joseph News-Press.

Habiger and his wife, Karri Habiger, have six franchises in St. Joseph and one in Mound City, Mo.

The new, 6,500-square-foot restaurant is under construction with plans to open in July, the News-Press reports. In addition to self-ordering kiosks, the $1.6 million restaurant will offer table service and comfy couches and armchairs inviting customers to dine in and stay awhile. The location’s Play Place will also get a makeover with tabletop video games.

“Today’s customers seek a comfortable and inviting atmosphere,” Chris Habiger told the newspaper. “So we’re committed to providing a modern look and feel to this restaurant.”

He said the kiosks will enhance customer service by allowing customers to personalize their burger or chicken sandwich orders.

“There really are hundreds of different choices to build the burger of your dreams,” Chris Habiger said.

The dessert menus will also have a similar customizable option.
