Hunt Brothers specialty pizza back for first time ever during summer months

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- In a promotion that began June 1, Hunt Brothers Pizza has brought back its most popular limited-time offer (LTO), Buffalo chicken pizza, to kick off the summer season.

"With such a high demand for our spicy specialty pizza, this will prove to be a profitable time for our c-store partners," said Keith Solsvig, vice president of marketing for Hunt Brothers Pizza. "This is the first time we have ever offered this particular LTO during the summer months, and we're hoping it will be a major hit."

The Buffalo chicken pizza made a reappearance onto the Hunt Brothers Pizza menu two times in 2013 due to an overwhelmingly large number of customer requests across the company's social media channels, the company said. For its return in June, Hunt Brothers Pizza is anticipating an extremely positive turnout due to the peak in foot traffic within c-stores during the summer months.

"Our c-store partners typically experience a greater influx of foot traffic between the months of May and August," said Solsvig. "We believe this is largely due to a rise in travel during the summer, so we are building on this time of the year to satisfy the cravings of our loyal Buffalo chicken pizza fans."

The pizza is made from 100% all-natural white meat chicken topped with a mixture of ranch dressing, Buffalo sauce and mozzarella and Monterey jack cheese, all loaded on the Hunt Brothers Pizza's original crust.

With more than 7,000 locations in 28 states, Hunt Brothers Pizza is the nation's largest brand of made-to-order pizza in the convenience store industry. It offers original and thin-crust pizzas with the "All Toppings No Extra Charge" promise, breakfast pizzas, wings and WingBites. Based in Nashville, Tenn., Hunt Brothers Pizza is family owned and operated with more than 50 years of experience in offering all of the food products, marketing programs, equipment and training for convenience stores to operate their own turnkey pizza program.
