Will roll out touch-screen soda fountains in all locations by May 2015

WAWA, Pa. --Wawa Inc. said it will become the first national retailer in the convenience store channel to offer Coca-Cola Freestyle chain-wide. Coca-Cola Freestyle is a touch-screen soda fountain that features more than 100 different Coca-Cola drink products and custom flavors.

The retailer will roll out new beverage experience to all of its stores by May 2015. It is part of an overall enhancement to Wawa's offer and addition to its self-serve beverage area.

"Part of our commitment to fulfilling customers' lives every day, includes creating new and compelling fresh food and beverages that are convenient and always delivered with consistent quality and care," said Mike Sherlock, Wawa's vice president of fresh food and beverage. "Coca-Cola Freestyle supports this goal adding something unique to our beverage offer and delivers great quality and variety."

Coca-Cola Freestyle dispenses unique beverages by blending specific recipes of concentrated ingredients with water and sweetener right where the beverage is dispensed--delivering great quality and beverage variety through proprietary micro-dose mixing technology. Coca-Cola Freestyle offers more than 100 different combinations such as sparkling beverages, flavored waters, sports drinks, lemonades and teas--including more than 70 low- and no-calorie brands, more than 90 caffeine-free brands, more than 50 still brands and more than 80 brands exclusive to Coca-Cola Freestyle.

A new app also lets customers create and save their favorite mixes, or share them with a friend.

Now and through the end of the year, all new Wawa stores and remodeled locations will include enhanced new self-service cold beverage areas and the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. In 2015, all stores will receive the enhancements to the beverage area and the new Freestyle technology through a renovation and mini-remodel program.

Wawa, based in Wawa, Pa., is a chain of more than 670 convenience stores (more than 400 offering gasoline) in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia and Florida.
