It’s back to school time in many areas, and GetGo Café + Market wants to ease families back into the academic-year routine with a 50-cent discount off the posted per-gallon price of all fuels.

“This is a season of change for our guests. With students going back to college and parents getting back into the school routine, we hope this discount alleviates some of that stress,” said Joel Hirschboeck, senior vice president of fuel at GiantEagle and GetGo Café + Market.

The 50-cent fuel discount starts Thursday and runs through Sunday at every GetGo location for members using myPerks Pay Direct of AdvantagePay. As of Thursday, when the company opened a new store in Greenburg, Pennsylvania, GetGo has 272 locations, said Brandon Daniels, manager of public relations at GetGo.

Besides the fuel discount, Pittsburgh-based GetGo is offering myPerks members an extra “perk” per dollar spent in the store through Labor Day, for double the perks received on groceries and many other items at GetGo, Giant Eagle and Market District when paying with myPerks Pay Direct. GetGo regularly offers myPerks members two perks per gallon of fuel and one perk per dollar spent on made-to-order food and other in-store purchases.

  • Giant Eagle’s GetGo Café + Market is No. 31 onCSP’s 2023 Top 202 list of convenience-store chains by store count.

The company had 263 GetGo locations as of Jan. 1 and continues to add locations. It launched the myPerks Direct Pay program this year and extended rewards to in-store merchandise along with everyday fuel discounts of up to 30 cents per gallon, Daniels said.

Earlier this summer, GetGo celebrated the 4th of July by reducing the price of regular unleaded to $2.75 per gallon for members. It also offered Free Coffee Mondays in April for its AdvantagePay members.

Current AdvantagePay members and other consumers can join myPerks Pay Direct at www.myperks.com/pay at no cost. GetGo’s Indiana locations don’t accept myPerks Pay Direct for payment.
