3 Personnel Changes at Unified Brands

Two additions, promotion at maker of foodservice equipment

CONYERS, Ga. Foodservice equipment manufacturer Unified Brands recently added Ajay Kothari and Brent Barkley and promoted Clay Thames.

Kothari will serve as senior director of technology, leading a team of engineers in the company’s product enhancement efforts and new product development. The team will research technological advances inside and outside the foodservice industry.

Barkley will serve as senior director of strategic brand management for the Randell and Avtec lines, focusing on product positioning, product line expansion and design and manufacturing efficiencies.

Thames will have the same responsibilities as senior director of strategic brand management for Groen, Power Soak and CapKold.

“We are optimistic about our future in the commercial foodservice equipment industry and are well positioned for successful expansion of our product portfolio in our three centers of excellence in Michigan (custom manufacturing), Mississippi (production manufacturing) and Georgia (corporate training and culinary center),” said Dave Herring, Unified Brands president.

Kothari has more than a decade of engineering and manufacturing experience and a track record of product development.

Barkley comes to Unified Brands with experience driving revenue growth in sales, marketing and engineering positions. He has a background in account and brand building and has worked in different manufacturing markets.

Thames has spent more than 20 years at Unified Brands, serving the last five as product line director for cooking and ware washing. 

Unified Brands and its A la Cart, Avtec, CapKold, Groen, Power Soak and Randell product lines have leading industry positions in cooking equipment, custom and standard refrigeration, continuous motion ware washing systems, conveyors, ventilation, utility distribution, cook-chill and meal delivery systems.
