UPDATE: As of June 18, 2020, TravelCenters of America has reopened full-service dining at select restaurants in 27 states.

WESTLAKE, Ohio — After closing many of its restaurants in April because of the coronavirus pandemic, TravelCenters of America Inc. (TA) has now reopened full-service and quick-service restaurant dining rooms at select truckstops in 18 states.

The restaurants include Black Bear Diner, Iron Skillet, Fuddruckers, IHOP, Country Pride, Boston Market, TA Cafe, and Quaker Steak & Lube.

“We are working hard to make sure we address the needs of our driver community at each of our sites and that includes ensuring food options are available,” TA said. “We remain committed to ensuring drivers have access to food options while visiting us and continue to reopen restaurants around the country.”

TA is also individually wrapping self-serve hot dogs, pretzels, apples, doughnuts and pastries to keep customers safe, it said. In cities where self-serve is closed, TA offers coffee and other beverages via disposable cups at its restaurants. Customers can also purchase hot and cold prepackaged items, including deli sandwiches, burgers, burritos and more. Some locations also offer carryout and online ordering services.

“We are following state mandates regarding dining areas in our full-service and quick-service restaurants,” TA said.

All TA, Petro Stopping Centers and TA Express travel centers remain open, providing essential services to drivers with fuel, showers, restrooms, quick-service restaurants and convenience stores. Employees continue to take precautionary measures consistent with the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to minimize the spread of the coronavirus, including social distancing and enhanced cleaning protocols. TA fitness centers, driver lounges and game rooms remain closed.

Founded in 1972 and based in Westlake, Ohio, TA has more than 260 locations in 44 states and Canada, principally under the TA, Petro Stopping Centers and TA Express brands. The company operates nearly 650 full-service and quick-service restaurants and 10 proprietary brands, including Quaker Steak and Lube, Iron Skillet and Country Pride. TA is No. 27 on the Top 40 update to CSP’s 2019 Top 202 ranking of U.S. c-store chains by number of retail outlets.
