CHICAGO — Tyson Foods and Hillshire Farm have launched five new foodservice products as part of a new collaboration with Tajin, a Mexican chile sauce and seasonings producer.

The products include Tyson Tajin Chili Lime Chicken Nuggets, Tyson Any’tizers Chili Lime Boneless Chicken Bites, Hillshire Farm Chili Lime Smoked Sausage With Mango, Hillshire Farm Chili Lime Lit’l Smokies and Hillshire Farm Chili Lime Smoked Sausages. Each product is infused with Tajin’s flagship Clasico Seasoning, which blends chile peppers, dehydrated lime juice and sea salt.

"We know people are looking for more authentic, flavor-forward foods that tap into today's globalized palates," said Alexa McKay, a chef for the Tyson Foods culinary team. "Our partnership with Tajin not only delivers on the growing interest in these flavor varieties, but also means you don't have to make a trip to your favorite ethnic restaurant to enjoy them."

Based in Zapopan, Mexico, Tajin produces powdered chile sauces and seasonings in a variety of formats, such as Clasico, Clasico Low Sodium, Habanero, Rimmer, Regular Snack Sauce and Chamoy.

"Tajin brings a unique, flavorful chile-lime 'zing' that pairs perfectly with these products," said Michelle Duran, a personal chef who helped inspire the Tajin-flavored products for Hillshire Farm. "Now, consumers will have even more opportunities to spice up meals with our new flavorful sausage and chicken offerings."

Tyson Foods produces, markets and exports chicken, beef and pork. Besides Hillshire Farm, its brands include Jimmy Dean, Ball Park, Wright, Aidells and State Fair. The company was founded in 1935.
