Chevron’s Sports-Themed Rewards Program Returns

aFANity offers members points toward football tickets, memorabilia and more

SAN RAMON, Calif. -- In time for football season, Chevron USA Inc. has brought back its aFANity points-based program, giving customers a chance to earn game tickets, memorabilia and other sports-themed rewards.

AFANity, which debuted in 2016, gives members points for specific activities, such as visiting a Chevron or Texaco gas station or checking in on the Chevron or Texaco mobile app. They can then redeem the points for rewards, including tickets to football games, autographed memorabilia, officially licensed team gear and fan experiences.

“AFANity rewards our customers for things they are already doing, like filling up at the pump and heading inside the store for a snack,” said Don Walker, general manager for the Chevron brand. “We want to provide value to all our loyal customers, and aFANity will allow us to offer them access to things they love—tickets to marquee football games, autographed merchandise from their favorite players or access to their favorite teams.”

Chevron is leveraging its sponsorship of NFL and NCAA football properties for the rewards program.

Customers automatically earn 500 rewards points for registering at afanity.com. They can earn additional points by connecting an eligible Visa card to their profile and making purchases with it at a participating Chevron or Texaco station. Members who connect a Chevron or Texaco Techron Advantage credit card or Techron Advantage Visa card, issued by Synchrony, can earn double the rewards points. AFANity is open to residents 17 years and older of Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Program members can also use rewards points to bid on autographed memorabilia, tickets, VIP sideline passes and fan experience that shows them what it’s like to be an equipment manager for a day.

San Ramon, Calif.-based Chevron has nearly 8,000 Chevron- and Texaco-branded stations in the United States. Its ExtraMile chain is No. 11 on CSP’s Top 202 ranking of the largest convenience-store chains.
