Fuels 50 2018: How Consumers Choose Their Gas Stops

Brands have opportunities beyond price to influence customers’ choices

CHICAGO -- While price is often the No. 1 reason behind consumers’ choice of a fueling location, there are opportunities for brands to influence that choice beyond the price sign.

In an emailed survey of more than 2,200 GasBuddy app users conducted in partnership with CSP, more than 88% said price was the reason they preferred a particular station and brand.
