VP Racing Names Madden to Lead Branded Retail

Former DTN executive to head up growth of c-store retail, car-wash and oil-change programs

SAN ANTONIO —VP Racing Fuels Inc. has named Karen Madden vice president of branded retail.

Madden will oversee VP Racing Fuels’ retail branding program. In addition to imaging and supply resources, the program provides gas stations and convenience stores with the rights to distribute VP product lines, including small-engine fuels, hobby fuels and performance chemicals. She will also lead the growth for the VP PowerWash car wash and VP FastLube oil-change center branding programs.

Madden joins the company after 16 years with DTN, where as a senior vice president she oversaw the company’s energy and agriculture divisions. Before joining DTN, Madden worked for ExxonMobil and FuelQuest in wholesale and retail fuels responsibilities.

“Karen brings an incredible background in lubricants, fuels and retail management,” said Alan Cerwick, president and CEO of VP Racing Fuels, San Antonio. “Her industry experience, ranging from systems, logistics and distribution to wholesale pricing and retail network management, coupled with her deep roots in technology, will add substantial strength to our management team. Significant strategic opportunities are nearing realization in North America and abroad, and the addition of Karen, a highly respected and talented industry veteran, will position VP for success.”
