SAN ANTONIO — McLane Co. Inc. is debuting several new productsAug. 21-22 during its annual National Trade Show at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio. These products include a new back-office management solution, a tablet built for convenience-store operators and a text notification feature on its Delivery Tracker application.

The c-store distributor’s private-label brands subsidiary, CVP, will also roll out 40 new products, from dog treats to phone accessories.

Nearly 200 exhibitors are at the Sales Fiesta-themed event, and the company said it expects 1,100 people to attend the educational sessions, networking opportunities and exhibitions. Manufacturers use the National Trade Show as a launching pad for new product lines and extensions.

A McLane booth will feature the three pillars of the company’s grocery business: technology, CVP and McLane Kitchen.

McLane will debut a back-office management solution that is a one-stop shop for retailers and their technology needs, according to the company. It also will show a new tablet that is water-resistant, features a larger screen size, has an IP67 rating (the highest level of protection from dust) and can store information for up to 25 stores. And it will debut a text notification feature on the Delivery Tracker application, which sends a message to retailers' smartphones if a delivery is delayed.

McLane Kitchen will host a fully functioning kitchen to highlight new menu offerings, including turnkey soups, roller grill jalapeno Western omelets, salads with protein and custom parfaits.

CVP will offer trade show-only deals, product samples and giveaways. Its new products include four new dog treat flavors from Beau Dacious, safety attire from Work Fare, phone accessories and electronics from Road Tech and other health and beauty products.

The speaker roster includes two-time Super Bowl champion and NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis. Attendees can also meet former Dallas Cowboy and NFL Hall of Famer Randy White and NHRA drag racer John Force.
