FENTON, Mo. -- U-Gas Inc., a convenience-store and gasoline retailer in the St. Louis area since 1977 with 19 U-Gas locations, has released its new mobile app in partnership with GasBuddy OpenStore.

The official U-Gas app allows customers to get real-time U-Gas fuel prices and exclusive deals and offers, and play games to earn points and win prizes. Also, by using the app, customers will be the first to know about new GiGi’s Café Express food items.

“Partnering with OpenStore empowers us to engage with customers through smartphone games, promotions and contests, which will ultimately garner increased brand loyalty,” said Bradford Goette, chief marketing officer of U-Gas, Fenton, Mo. “With the U-Gas App, we can provide customers with up-to-the-minute gas prices, special offers and savings on the brands they love in real time.”

The GasBuddy OpenStore solution allows U-Gas to control the content of the mobile app from one place, providing maximum control over the digital marketing.

“GasBuddy OpenStore’s innovative solution enables U-Gas to connect with customers in a way that is fun and unique, which will boost brand loyalty and ultimately drive in-store sales,” said Tony Chidiac, vice president of retail for GasBuddy OpenStore.

Boston-based GasBuddy OpenStore is a solution that increases customer loyalty by providing two-way communication between convenience-store owners and customers using web technologies and custom-branded mobile applications. The OpenStore dashboard allows the user to collect customer feedback, manage social media, and deliver mobile coupons and text-message campaigns from one location.
