CHICAGO — With the release of the new Minions: The Rise of Gru movie delayed from May to July, Minions fans can get their fix via the newest additions to Kinder Joy's candy and surprise toy release.

The latest Kinder Joy from Chicago-based Ferrero is a line of limited-edition eggs featuring Illumination’s Minions inside. The line extension of seven Minions toys will launch to retail on Monday, June 1.

Approved for children ages 3 and older, kids can assemble their favorite Minions characters, such as Kevin, Stuart and Bob, while enjoying the confectionery treat’s creamy layers and chocolate-covered wafer bites filled with sweet milk-cream and cocoa, according to the company.

The suggested retail price for each Kinder Joy surprise egg is $1.79.
