CSP this week was named a finalist for six Azbee Awards and one Jesse H. Neal Award, including a look at the future of Big Oil, our ongoing look at DEI and our Top 202 microsite.

In its 69th year, the Neal Awards by the Software & Information Industry Association, or SIIA, celebrate excellence in business-to-business journalism. They are among the most prestigious of editorial honors and more than 60 awards will be granted across more than 25 categories. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in New York City, scheduled for April 21.

The Azbee Awards are presented by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE), honoring the best in business-to-business media, recognizing outstanding work by B2B, trade, association and professional publications. Regional Azbee winners will be announced in April, and national winners in May.

“Being nominated for the Neal and Azbee awards is a testament to the unwavering commitment, passion and talent of the CSP team,” said Abbey Lewis, vice president of content strategy at Winsight LLC, Chicago, parent of convenience-store publication CSP. “I am so very proud of their exceptional journalism, and their dedication to delivering insightful and impactful stories that help inform the convenience-store industry.”

The Neal Award nomination for Best Single Issue of a magazine, in particular, recognizes the entire CSP editorial and design teams, underscoring each team member’s contribution to each issue of CSP magazine.

CSP was also recognized by ASBPE for news analysis, design, conference coverage and web microsite. Of particular significance is ASBPE’s nomination of CSP for an award in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) for a second year in a row. In 2022, CSP earned the National Gold Azbee Award for DEI coverage. It was the first time DEI was an Azbee category.

In total, CSP earned nine Azbee Awards and two Neal Awards in 2022.
