Pickup, Dropoff Service Enters U.S. Market

PUDO announces partnership with c-store association

TORONTO -- PUDO Inc., a customer-centric, neutral parcel pickup and dropoff service, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Asian-American Trade Association Council (AATAC), a national association for U.S. convenience-store owners. PUDO is entering the U.S. market under its wholly owned subsidiary, PUDO Point.

Under the partnership, AATAC's convenience-store owner members, who control thousands of U.S. convenience stores nationwide, will help build the PUDO Point U.S. Pick Up & Drop Off network as authorized dealers. As PUDO Point dealers, the AATAC members' stores have the ability to accept packages for community residents who make online purchases with online retailers and for PUDO Point members.

"Traditionally, retailers and shipping carriers have controlled how their customers receive purchased goods. PUDO puts that power in the hands of consumers by allowing them to control when and how their packages are delivered, stated Frank Coccia, founder and CEO of PUDO Inc. "As e-commerce continues to shift consumer purchasing behavior, PUDO is providing a new avenue for consumers to enhance and personalize their purchase delivery options."

"This partnership provides a new level of convenience to our members' customers as well as the communities they serve," said Sunil Capita, associate director of AATAC.

With 5,000 locations throughout North America, this partnership enhances PUDO's dealer network for PUDO members by expanding pickup and dropoff shipping options by a possible 80,000-plus locations, it claims.

Using easily accessible PUDO Point locations such as convenience stores, gas stations and grocery stores with extended hours, PUDO members, participating e-commerce retail consumers, businesses and a home-based workforce can now pick up parcels anytime, including evenings and weekends.

AATAC is a Beverly Hills, Calif.-based national association comprised of smaller trade groups, regional associations, distributors and independent operators.
