Subway Rolls Out Electronic Cash Cards

Users can register to protect balances

MILFORD, Conn. -- Consumers now have a quicker, more convenient way to pay for their meals. With the new Subway Cash Card, it's as simple as one single swipe.

In what some say is one of the largest roll outs of its type in the restaurant industry, the Subway Cash Card can be used just like a gift or personal spending card by simply selecting a dollar amount between $5 and $100 to activate it. It's also resuseable and reloadable. Customers can use the card to pay for meals and money can be added to it at any time.

The new Subway [image-nocss] Cash Card is easy to use and will help customers speed their way through the line during busy times, said Ned Daley, marketing programs specialist for the Subway restaurant chain. The Subway Cash Card also allows cardholders to receive exclusive promotional offers on their favorite Subway menu items.

In addition to being available at the more than 21,000 Subway restaurants throughout the United States and Canada, the Subway Cash Card is also sold online at www.subway.com and www.mysubwaycard.com. There are no expiration dates on any of the cards or fees of any kind for using or not using the card. Customers will also have the option of registering their cards at www.subway.com or mysubwaycard.com to protect their balance for lost or stolen cards, and to qualify for other potential rewards.

The Milford, Conn.-based Subway restaurant chain is the world's largest submarine sandwich franchise, with more than 26,800 locations in 85 countries.
