GPM to Open 10th Dunkin’ Franchise

Retailer is slated to add two additional locations in 2021

RICHMOND, Va. — GPM Investments LLC will open a next-generation Dunkin’ location adjacent to one of its Roadrunner Markets convenience stores in Kingsport, Tenn., on Nov. 18.

This location is a subsidiary of Broyles Hospitality LLC, GPM’s independent Dunkin' franchisee in the Tri-Cities area of Tennessee and Virginia. The Kingsport store will be Broyles’s 10th Dunkin’ franchise.

Like the rest of Dunkin’s next-generation concept stores—which debuted in January 2018—this location will feature a modern look with interior design that incorporates a brighter color palate; an open layout; and natural light to create an approachable, positive and energetic environment. The store will also offer drive-thru access as well as delivery, and will feature Dunkin’s eight-tap system for all cold beverages.

Broyles Hospitality is slated to add two additional Dunkin’ locations in 2021, the company said.

Canton, Mass.-based Dunkin’ Brands, founded in 2004, operates 13,000 locations Dunkin’ locations in 43 countries, as well as more than 8,000 Baskin-Robbins locations in more than 5,000 countries. In November 2020, restaurant franchisor Inspire Brands acquired Dunkin’ Brands for more than $11 billion.

Based in Richmond, Va., GPM Investments operates 2,930 convenience stores in 33 states and Washington D.C. Locations include 1,350 company-operated stores and 1,580 dealer sites to which it supplies fuel.Its c-store brands are Fas Mart, Shore Stop, Scotchman, BreadBox, Young's, Li'l Cricket, Next Door Store, Village Pantry, Apple Market, Jiffi Stop, Admiral, Roadrunner Markets, Jiffy Food Marts, E-Z Mart, 1 Stop, TownStar, RStore, Mad Max, Baltus and Jetz.. In early OCtober, it closed on the acquisition of Empire Petroleum Partners. The company also recently signed a definitive agreement with Haymaker Acquisition Corp. II, a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), to form a new, publicly traded company called Arko.
