Stewart’s Shops is always looking for new flavors to entice its customers, and the convenience-store chain’s taco pizza is the latest offering.

“This Ranchero Style Pizza has sauce seasoned with chili peppers, onion, garlic and more,” the Ballston Spa, New-York based company said. “To make this pizza even better, savory ground beef is sprinkled on top in addition to some buttery, flavorful, melted cheddar cheese.”

“Our customers love new flavors,” Erica Komoroske, director of public affairs at Stewart’s Shops, told CSP about this limited-time offer. “We’re always introducing new flavors and are excited and think our customers will be too.”

Komoroske said this offering combines Mexican flavors and pizza, both of which people love. Many food establishments hold Taco Tuesdays, and this is another variation, she added. “It doesn’t have to be Tuesday.”

New flavor introductions at Stewart’s Shops span food offerings, the company’s extensive ice cream line, and its juice, tea and lemonade Refreshers, Komoroske said. Refreshers are non-carbonated beverages such as apple juice. Tea and lemonade Refreshers include flavors such as blue raspberry, strawberry lemonade and fruit punch.

The mint-flavored dairy product Shenanigan Shake, a limited-time offer (LTO), returned this year for St. Patrick’s Day after selling out in 2022.

“Customers begged us to bring it back,” Komoroske said. Another just-released LTO dairy shake Refresher flavor is Cotton Candy.

“It’s blue, so kids are drawn to it,” she said. “It’s a fun flavor as summer approaches.”

Founded in 1945, Stewart’s Shops is an employee- and family-owned c-store chain with many pizzas to choose. Customers can buy a whole pie or just a slice and chose among cheese, pepperoni, sausage, Buffalo chicken, bacon chicken ranch, supreme, breakfast and the new Taco Pizza. The c-store chain is known for its milk, ice cream, coffee, Easy Food meals and other convenience items. There are 357 Stewart’s Shops in upstate New York and southern Vermont.
