CHICAGO  Convenience-store retailers can strengthen the appeal of their coffee program by raising the bar on offerings at the bar.

They can consider growing their customer base by joining the growing nondairy creamer game, which Allied Market Research, Portland, Ore., projects to grow globally from $1.7 billion in 2019 to $2.38 billion by 2027.

Refrigerated, plant-based, nondairy creamers are showing increased value with a growing number of customers, according to CSP sister Winsight Grocery Business, which recently featured five products. The quintet includes Mint Chip Oat Creamer from Califia Farms’ line of dairy-free, plant-based and oat milk creamers.

Almond is the largest segment in the nondairy creamer market, estimated to hit $707.8 million by 2027.
