CHICAGO  Foods with the rosy color of pink, which is a sign of possible antioxidant-rich health benefits, are expected to grow in popularity in 2023, CSP sister company Technomic predicts in its new whitepaper What We Foresee for 2023.

This trend is one of seven predicted by Technomic.

“Smoothie, juice and health-focused fast casuals have pushed those benefits in pink-hued items such as dragon fruit bowls and beverages, as well as smoothies blended with strawberry and raspberry puree,” CSP sister publication Foodservice Director said.

Ingredients that can be used in this pink movement include pink pineapple and pink-eyed peas.
