National Convenience Distributors Partners With Protein Brand

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — National Convenience Distributors (NCD), a northeastern c-store distribution company, partnered with Emerald Nutraceutical, a supplement manufacturer, on its new protein-infused chocolate brand.

Stronger Snacks contain 13 grams of whey protein per serving and 20% less sugar than traditional chocolate, according to the company. It comes in three flavors:

  • Protein Chocolate Crunch, dark chocolate topped with quinoa crunch
  • Protein Chocolate Peanuts, milk chocolate-covered peanuts
  • Protein Chocolate Rainbow Drops, dark chocolate with all-natural rainbow sprinkles

According to Long Island-based Emerald Nutraceutical, the line aims to disrupt the protein snack market and has plans to expand its product lines with new items in the months to come.

NCD, based in Farmingdale, N.Y., serves more than 14,000 locations in 11 states. It distributes brands including Harold Levinson Associates, J Polep, Century Distributors, Allen Brothers and Wustefeld Candy.

Emerald Nutraceutical is a privately held manufacturer of private-label dietary supplements located in Long Island, New York. Led by CEO Michael Garcia and COO Stevens Adonis, the company specializes in the production of supplements in liquid and edible formats, including produces liquids, baked goods, chocolates, topicals and more.
