DALLAS — Paragon Software Systems has expanded the capabilities of its fleet management software to give convenience-store operators and their business partners a real-time view of planned, actual and historic transport activity.

“The enhancements we have made to our Live Management software module will provide stakeholders across the business with access to vital information via a smartphone, tablet or desktop,” said Phil Ingham, support director for Paragon Software Systems. “In response to demand from our customers for more visibility and analytical capability, we have augmented our existing Arrivals Board and Live Dashboard functionality, and introduced two completely new components.”

The Arrivals Board and Live Dashboard components have been expanded in order to share data across a business rather than being isolated in silos. A range of employees, from sales and marketing to finance and customer service, can be given access to both historic and real-time information.

The new Analysis component allows Paragon users to monitor vehicle usage, planned vs. actual comparisons, distance per drop and on-time performance. Interactive business intelligence charts that collate these factors can be accessed online in order to review the performance of a single site or multiple locations.

Paragon’s new Route Detail component provides non-Paragon users with access to transport schedules based on a specific date range, which is accessible via a website interface. The component includes the option to view depot, driver and individual drop data.

“This is all part of our vision to bring together transport, planning and drivers to create efficient operations with enhanced service delivery,” said Ingham. “Live Management, and the increased visibility of data that it gives, is a key facilitator of ‘control tower’ planning, in which your best people are brought together to form a ‘center of excellence’ planning team while still being able to share crucial information with any authorized person.”

Dallas-based Paragon Software Systems is a privately-held company founded in 1991 with 3,400 systems installed in 61 countries. The company’s global staff of 110 implements and supports routing and scheduling solutions for fleets of 10 or more vehicles.
