IRVING, Texas — The Smokey Cheddar Sausage, a new limited-time offer from 7-Eleven, celebrates Oktoberfest.

The convenience-store retailer’s take on Germany’s culinary staple comes with a smokey, savory and cheesy twist.

Available at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores, this seasonal entry is made with real cheddar cheese and a Johnsonville sausage, smoked naturally with hardwood chips.

The sausage “is the perfect addition to any German-inspired feast,” 7-Eleven said. “Nestled in a pillowy bun, this wurst can be topped with a variety of condiments and toppings in-store, like mustard, melted nacho cheese, fresh onions and more.”

7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members will earn 200 bonus points with each sausage purchase.

  • 7-Eleven is No. 1 on CSP’s 2022 Top 202 ranking of the largest U.S. c-store chains by number of company-owned retail outlets.

“We’re excited to bring our customers another new, innovative menu item with the Smokey Cheddar Sausage, arriving just in time for Oktoberfest celebrations happening around the world,” said Vareesha Shariff, 7-Eleven senior director of hot food. “Pair this wurst with a Bavarian-inspired side like our 7-Select Mini Twist Pretzels and you have a ‘Wiesn’ to party!"

7-Eleven operates, franchises or licenses more than 77,700 convenience stores in 19 countries and regions, including about 13,000 in the United States, including about 9,500 under the 7-Eleven banner, around 3,800 under the Speedway banner and about 500 under the Stripes flag, as well as the Laredo Taco Company and Raise the Roost Chicken and Biscuits brands.
