OKLAHOMA CITY — Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. has debuted the new Chester’s Fried Chicken Sandwich in all 113 of its stores that have a Chester’s quick-service restaurant.

The sandwich is a fried and marinated chicken breast and crinkle-cut dill pickles sandwiched between a brioche bun. It is available for a suggested retail price of $3.99.

“We’re excited to offer our customers an exclusive Chester’s sandwich that’s sure to please the taste buds,” said Joe Cotton, director of restaurant services for Oklahoma City-based Love’s. “Our customers expect quality offerings that get them back on the road quickly, and this new chicken sandwich will not disappoint.”

Birmingham, Ala.-based Chester's International LLC uses fresh chicken that is marinated and double-breaded using a proprietary family recipe. Its menu includes bone-in chicken tenders and potato wedges as well as breakfast and homestyle sides.

"Our secret is a family recipe and process that’s been successful for over 50 years, and we are always excited to bring new items to our menu offerings,” said William Culpepper, vice president of marketing for Chester's International. “Chester’s Fried Chicken Sandwich is the new sandwich in town that gives our loyal fans the opportunity to enjoy our signature flavor in a new format perfect for on-the-go consumers visiting c-stores and travel stops.”

The Love's travel-stop network comprises more than 480 locations in 41 states. The chain is No. 17 in CSP’s 2019 Top 202 ranking of the largest convenience-store chains in the United States.
