To add a healthy little reason for customers to pop in, convenience stores might want to add side salads to their foodservice menu.

Chicago-based Foxtrot just rolled out four new offerings. On its website, Foxtrot says, “Committed to bringing the side dish? We’ve got you.”

One of the four choices is Edamame Sesame Salad (pictured), which includes edamame and soybeans mixed with shredded carrot, sliced Brussels sprouts, red bell pepper and green kale. It also includes organic soy sauce, rice vinegar and more, and serves two to three.

The other three are Greek Tortellini, Kale Tabouli Quinoa, and Sesame Pasta.

Each sells for $7.99. They range from 10 ounces to 14 ounces.
