Casey’s delivers from 900 of its 2,200 stores. DoorDash delivers out of more than 600 Casey’s stores. And the retailer is piloting DoorDash Drive, where the customer orders through Casey’s rather than through DoorDash. The chain is also launching a pilot with Uber Eats.

“We’re expanding our last-mile offerings in terms of how we get deliveries to guests,” says Art Sebastian, director of digital experiences. “We’ve been continuously expanding our grocery assortment; we’re over 200 SKUs of grocery now.”

Casey’s also offers curbside pickup in all stores. “Each week it continues to grow,” he says. “The average order value, the ticket is higher than non-curbside.”

Customers seem to like the service, he says. One customer described Casey’s curbside experience as a “hero moment,” he says. “She was a stressed-out mom in her car. She looked out the window, and that Casey's curbside person came out with the order, and she just looked at him like he was a hero.”
