C-Stores, Exchange Service Offer Veterans Day Deals on Food, More

Veterans Day is Saturday, and some convenience stores are showing their respect and gratitude by offering deals for those in the military and those no longer serving.

Casey’s, Ankeny, Iowa, is offering a free coffee or fountain drink in any size to veterans Saturday.

In addition, starting this year, Casey’s is extending the same offer year-round to active military personnel and on-duty, uniformed first responders, including those in law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services.   

Casey’s is also inviting its guests to financially support two prominent nonprofit organizations, Hope for the Warriors and Children of Fallen Patriots, by rounding up at the register this November.

Army, Air Force Exchange Service

The Army & Air Force Exchange Service, Dallas, is offering several deals, discounts and giveaways in honor of Veterans Day, including a free order of gourmet fries at Charleys Philly Steaks, Columbus, Ohio, with the purchase of any cheesesteak and drink.

“It’s an honor for the exchange to show the military community how much they mean to us,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Kevin Osby, the exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “The exchange is where heroes shop, and it’s a privilege to serve those who have served and continue to serve.”

Shoppers can view the digital sales ad at ShopMyExchange.com starting Nov. 10 by navigating to “Weekly Ads” under “Savings” at the bottom of the webpage. A “sneak peek” sales ad is viewable now.

Circle K

Circle K, Laval, Quebec, is offering free coffee through the Circle K app nationwide in the United States to thank veterans and active-duty military personnel.

Circle K coffee is brewed in bean-to-cup self-serve machines and made from sustainably sourced coffee beans, including Circle K House Blend and 100% Colombian Dark.

GetGo

At GetGo Café + Market, veterans don’t have to wait until Nov. 11 for a freebie from the Pittsburgh-based c-store chain. This Veterans Day, and every day of the year, active-duty service members and veterans get a free small coffee at any location.

Krist Oil Co.

At every Iron River, Michigan-based Krist location, veterans always receive a 3% discount on all eligible transactions. In addition, all veterans and active military members always receive free coffee and soft drinks in any size. Proof of service or a military ID is required at checkout.

The discount excludes fuel, cigarettes, other tobacco items, beer, wine, liquor, publications, lottery tickets, scratch tickets, gift cards and store services such as snowmobile permits.

Kwik Trip

Veterans and military members on Saturday get a free 20-ounce Karuba coffee or Big Buddy fountain drink at all La Crosse, Wisconsin-based Kwik Trips. To redeem, show a military ID at checkout.

Love’s Travel Stops

At Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc., Oklahoma City, active-duty service members and veterans on Saturday can get a free homestyle bowl and fountain drink exclusively through the Love’s Connect app. App users can find this offer on Veterans Day under the “deals tab.”

The bowl options include meatloaf mashed potatoes, chicken pot pie and deluxe mac and cheese. If homestyle bowls are not available, customers can substitute with two roller grill items.

Maverik

Maverik Inc., Salt Lake City, will offer complimentary coffee to veterans and active-duty military all day with a valid military ID. They are invited to enjoy up to a large beverage featuring Maverik’s bean-to-cup roasts.

Pilot Co.

Pilot Co., Knoxville, Tennessee, is showing its appreciation for military service members and their families by offering a complimentary meal at more than 750 Pilot, Flying J and One9 Fuel Network travel centers.

During Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 10 through 12, service members and their families verified through ID.me in the myRewards Plus app will receive a free meal credit valued up to $12. This can be applied to a wide range of food and beverage offerings, including meals at participating on-site restaurants.

Pilot is also welcoming guests to round up and raise funds to support the Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting veterans in transitioning to successful civilian careers after military service. Now through Nov. 12, Pilot Co. will donate 100% of round-up proceeds to the Call of Duty Endowment. The company is setting a goal of $1 million and will match donations up to $100,000 to assist the endowment in placing more than 1,600 services members and their families in successful careers. 

Royal Farms

Royal Farms, Baltimore, is giving veterans one free coffee, hot or iced, in any size at all locations.

Veterans have a variety of bold and fresh-roasted coffee blends from which to choose, including the seasonal blend Pumpkin Spice.

Sheetz

Sheetz Inc. is offering veterans and active-duty military personnel a free meal and car wash on Veterans Day. 

Altoona, Pennsylvania-based Sheetz invites them to enjoy a free half turkey sub and a regular-size fountain drink. The offer includes extras and add-ons to the sub.

The free car wash offer applies only to the $9 car wash option and is available only at Sheetz stores that have a car wash. Military ID or proof of service must be presented to qualify.

Sheetz also is donating $50,000 to the United States Organization (USO) and, later this month, Sheetz employees will volunteer at a Thanksgiving dinner event at the USO. Sheetz customers are encouraged to donate their loyalty points in November to the USO. Two hundred loyalty points will equate to a $1 donation via the Sheetz app.

Stewart’s Shops

To honor veterans, all Stewart’s customers can enjoy a 99-cent single-scoop cone Saturday.

Stewart’s Shops supports more than 140 veteran groups each year with monetary and product donations. From job training, providing meals for events and life skills trainings, donations from Stewart’s Shops positively impact veterans all year long.

TA

On Saturday at TravelCenters of America, Westlake, Ohio, active-duty military, veterans and reservists are invited to enjoy a complimentary meal at participating quick-service or full-service restaurants.

Veterans will need to present their proof of service before ordering. Proof of service can include a Uniformed Services ID card, current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), veterans’ organization membership card, photograph in uniform, DD214 form, a citation or commendation.

Wawa

Wawa, Pennsylvania-based Wawa on Saturday is offering a free any-size hot coffee to veterans, active military service members and their families, all day, with no military ID required. This offer takes place at all Wawa stores throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, D.C. and Florida.
