YORK, Pa. — Convenience-store retailer Rutter’s is the latest chain to launch a variety of fall-themed beverages to celebrate the crisp season.

New fall-themed items include pumpkin-flavored coffee—such as pumpkin flavored lattes, frappes, and cappuccinos—as well as a pumpkin pie milkshake and pumpkin pie milk from Rutter’s Dairy. Pumpkin-flavored creamers and syrups are also available for customers to customize their beverages.

These items can be ordered through Rutter’s touchscreen kiosks and are available for a limited time, Rutter’s said.

“As we get into fall, customers continue to clamor for the flavors of the season,” said Robert Perkins, vice president of marketing for Rutter’s. “We’re excited to expand upon our pumpkin flavored offerings in 2020 to meet our customers’ needs.”

Rutter’s coffee program includes seven different freshly brewed blends, eight creamers, 12 syrups, six sweeteners including stevia, four of Rutter’s own dairy-produced products and several toppers. Besides the new pumpkin-flavored offering, coffees include hazelnut, Euro dark roast and 100% Colombian; creamer flavors rotate and can feature Reese’s peanut butter, caramel macchiato and Irish cream.

Fall-themed product launches are annual occasions in c-stores. This year, other chains besides Rutter’s to offer these items include QuikTrip, who introduced its fall Snackles in September, as well as Cumberland Farms, which launched sugar-coated apple cider doughnuts, pumpkin muffins and pumpkin-filled hot pretzels this fall season.

York, Pa.-based Rutter’s operates 78 stores in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland and is No. 87 on CSP's 2020 Top 202 ranking of the largest c-store chains in the United States.
